A finance committee should be set up in all companies which normally have more than 100 permanent employees. The role of the finance committee is to consult with the employer on financial matters and report to the works council. The finance committee is the statutory instrument of employee representation for participation in economic matters.
In addition to presenting the legal rights and duties of the finance committee, this training seminar deals with typical problems encountered by the finance committee. You will learn how to plan and organise the work of the finance committee in a practical way. Selected business terms and their significance for employee representation will be explained.
Through this training seminar, you will learn how to address the structure and content of annual financial statements and their main components: the balance sheet and the income statement. The strategic importance of the economic committee to the task of workplace representatives will be dealt with and discussed.
